Ya Kun Kaya Toast is a Singaporean chain of Coffee Cafes selling toast products made from kaya a jam based product, eggs, tea, and coffee. Ya Kun, the coffee stall started off with the humble beginning in 1940s, was established by Loi Ah Koon and it remained as a family operation until the end of the 1990s. In 2001, Ya Kun Coffee Stall became Ya Kun Pte. Ltd and in 2001, Mr. Loi launched Ya Kun International Pte. Ltd to create and manage the Ya Kun franchise system. The first Ya Kun Cafe franchise outlet was opened at Robinson Point in Singapore in September 2001. In a short time, from a small mom-and-pop stall, Ya Kun Cafe has transformed itself to a successful international franchise company.
